How is EasyEntra licensed?
EasyEntra is licensed per tenant, and the yearly license fee is based on the number of licensed users in the tenant.

EasyEntra is free to use for pure AD management (feature-rich replacement for AD Users & Computers).
EasyEntra is free to use for hybrid and cloud-only management for small tenants (less than 25 licensed users) with no limitation in functionality.
Can my entire team share a single EasyEntra license?
Yes.
Any number of admins can use a single EasyEntra license to manage your hybrid Microsoft 365 or cloud-only tenant.
If you’re an MSP doing co-management, you can even share the license between your team and the client’s IT staff at no additional cost.
Can I install EasyEntra to more machines?
Yes.
EasyEntra is licensed per tenant.
You can install EasyEntra on any number of machines using a single license.
For co-managed tenants, the service provider (MSP) and the end customer (tenant owner) can even use the same license.
Does EasyEntra require a Global Admin service account?
No.
EasyEntra doesn’t need a service account at all.
When you run EasyEntra, you authenticate personally with your tenant using FIDO2-compliant OAuth2 – exactly like when using the Microsoft Admin Center portals or Microsoft Graph and EXO PowerShell modules.
Practically, there is no difference if you use EasyEntra or the Microsoft standard tools (except for the time and frustration saved).
All actions remain fully traceable via the Unified Audit Log, precisely as if you were using the standard tools.
Do you get access to my tenant?
No.
EasyEntra is a stand-alone application you install on your PC or server.
EasyEntra communicates directly with Entra ID and Exchange Online.
Nothing gets communicated to our systems except your tenant name, company name, and user count for license validation.
If you wish to block communication with our license server, we offer an offline license file upon request.
Do I need to trust a third-party tenant application?
No.
EasyEntra is based entirely on the Microsoft Graph API, and you only need to trust the official Microsoft Graph Command Line Tools API.
What about security?
We’re happy to hear you care about security – we do too.
EasyEntra follows state-of-the-art Microsoft best practices by performing all Entra ID and Exchange Online authentication via FIDO2 compatible OAuth2. OAuth2 supports MFA and ensures EasyEntra can never know your admin credentials. After successful authentication, EasyEntra receives an access token used to perform license and mailbox management in Entra ID and Exchange Online.
To avoid logging on every time you start the application, EasyEntra caches the token in your user profile on disk. The token is persisted via the Windows Data Protection API, ensuring that the token is protected by your Windows credentials and the local computer credentials.
To provide an extra layer of security, EasyEntra “salts” the encrypted token before persisting it. So effectively, you can only access it via EasyEntra, and while being logged in to the system where it’s stored.
As the token is stored in your user profile, this also means EasyEntra follows the security best practice of using individual credentials. Therefore, all admins must configure EasyEntra with their personal Entra ID credentials. By using individual credentials, you can monitor all changes through the Unified Audit Log in Entra ID.
All communication with Entra ID and Exchange Online happens directly from your system to Microsoft’s cloud services. There is no proxying and you don’t have to trust any third-party APIs.
Is support and major upgrades included in the license?
Yes.

Will I lose Microsoft support if I use EasyEntra?
No.
Your environment is still supported by Microsoft. Microsoft, however, does not support any 3rd-party tools, including EasyEntra. We support it.
Please refer to this article for details on Microsoft’s position on this.
In the unlikely event that you experience issues related to EasyEntra, we will help you reproduce the problem using standard tools/scripting and address the issue to Microsoft.
