We’ve been hard at work while you were (hopefully) taking some well-deserved time off, and I’m excited to share what we’ve been building.

Exchange Server Retirement & Latest Security Vulnerability
With October 14, 2025 approaching fast, many of you are planning your Exchange Server migration strategy. Whether you’re moving to Exchange Online, upgrading to Exchange Server SE, or maintaining a hybrid setup, the key question remains: how do you keep your user management efficient?
Adding urgency to this timeline, Microsoft recently disclosed a critical vulnerability (CVE-2025-53786) on August 12, 2025, affecting on-premises Exchange servers. This latest security concern reinforces why many organizations are accelerating their migration away from on-premises Exchange infrastructure. Good news: EasyEntra allows you to remove your on-premises Exchange Server without compromising ease-of-administration. You get the familiar ADUC-style interface for all your Microsoft 365 management needs.

What We’ve Been Building This Quarter
Over the past few months, EasyEntra has grown with a range of powerful features and refinements – all designed to make M365 and hybrid management faster, easier, and more consistent for IT teams.
✓ Expanded Mailbox Management: We’ve added support for Room and Equipment mailboxes alongside traditional user and shared mailboxes. This makes it easier to manage meeting spaces, shared devices, and other resources directly in EasyEntra, including the automatic disabling of newly created resource accounts by default for enhanced security. ✓ Advanced AD Attribute Management: EasyEntra now lets you view and edit a wider range of Active Directory attributes, including new multi-value fields and contact information. EasyEntra still shows advanced attributes on search results (unlike AD Users & Computers). Learn how to leverage these new capabilities in our video tutorial.
✓ Windows LAPS Support: For on-premises environments, we’ve added built-in support for the Windows Local Administrator Password Solution (LAPS) password management, enhancing security and making local admin password handling seamless. See LAPS integration in action here.
✓ Group & Cloud Collaboration Enhancements: You can now create and fully manage Microsoft 365 Groups, Security Groups, Distribution Lists, and Mail-Enabled Security Groups. This includes cool features not available in the Exchange Admin Center, like putting an automatic reply on M365 groups.
✓ Better Visibility & Search: From locked-out AD accounts to disabled accounts to obsolete accounts, EasyEntra helps surface critical account statuses faster with friendly LDAP queries. Explore these search features in our video guide.
✓ Usability & Stability Improvements: We’ve introduced a series of performance optimizations, UI refinements, and opt-in crash reporting to ensure EasyEntra will perform with speed and stability, even in largest enterprise environments.
Looking Ahead: What We’re Working On

Virtual User Templates
Create detailed, reusable templates for new user accounts without consuming actual licenses. Perfect for standardizing onboarding across teams and roles.
Optional MFA on Application Start
Add an extra security layer by requiring multi-factor authentication before accessing EasyEntra – additional protection for cached encrypted credentials.
Improved Entra ID Object Filtering and Sorting
Find the exact users, groups, or devices you need faster with more flexible filtering and sorting options, even in large and complex tenant environments.
