How to Authenticate With FIDO2

Use case: Use this procedure to authenticate with a FIDO2 security key when connecting to Entra ID in EasyEntra. FIDO2 provides a phishing-resistant, passwordless sign-in method that enhances security while simplifying the authentication process.

To authenticate with the phishing-resistant security key FIDO2, follow these steps:

  • Open the Connection Manager tab -> Entra ID.
  • Click Add → Next.
  • Authenticate with the Microsoft Graph API:
    1. Click the arrow on the right-hand side.
    2. Click Use another account and specify the account you want to log in with.
    3. Click Sign-in-options.
    4. Click Face, fingerprint, PIN or security key.
    5. Choose Security key and click Next.
    6. Insert your security key into the USB port.
    7. Enter your security key PIN and click OK.
    8. Touch your security key to let it read your fingerprint.
  • Authenticate with the Exchange Online API by repeating steps 1-8.
  • Click Finish.
