Use case: Use Full Loading Mode when you need to view, search, and filter all directory objects in real time – for example, to perform advanced searches or review complete attribute data across your Entra ID environment. This mode is especially helpful for detailed analysis or troubleshooting scenarios.
To enable Full Loading Mode, do the following:
- In Entra ID, select Full Loading Mode from the drop-down in the top bar.
- Wait for all objects to load (about 2-4 seconds per 5,000 objects).
- Add the columns you want to view or filter. Searches only match visible columns, so make sure the attributes you want to search are added to the view.
- Search across all visible attributes to get real-time as-you-type results:
- Free text searching matches against all visible data, including multivalue attributes.

- Use unique short-hand column names, e.g.,
lic=e5to find all users with E5 licenses. - Use quotation marks for values containing spaces, for example
city="new york". - Filters across different attributes are combined using AND, e.g.,
lic=e5 co=denmarkfinds users with an E5 license and Country set to Denmark. - Multiple filters on the same attribute are combined using OR, e.g.,
lic=e3 lic=e5finds licenses containing “e3” or “e5”.
- Free text searching matches against all visible data, including multivalue attributes.
- Sort by any column.
- Export the complete result set to a CSV or TSV file using the Export button.
- Copy selected rows to Notepad or Excel using keyboard shortcuts

– For smaller tenants (<1,000 objects), use Full Loading Mode by default for the optimal experience.
– For larger tenants (1,000+ objects), use Full Loading Mode on demand when you need advanced searching and sorting.
