Use case: Use this procedure to hide a mailbox, group, or contact from the Global Address List (GAL). Hiding recipients from the GAL is useful for service accounts, system mailboxes, or other objects that should not appear to regular users.
To hide a recipient from the Global Address List (GAL), do the following:
- Open User, Group, or Contact properties, select the Mailbox tab, and select Hide from address lists.
- Click OK to apply the setting.
