Use case: Use this procedure to view the Security Identifier (SID) of a user account. The SID is a unique value that identifies a user or security principal in Active Directory and is often used for permissions management, troubleshooting, or migration tasks.
To view the Security Identifier (SID) of a user, do the following:
- Double-click the user to open User properties, and select the Account tab.
- Locate the SID field.
- Click Cancel to close the window.
